Governor’s novel work

Alan Cork, one of the new Oxleas govenors is also a published author. A former managing editor of DMG World Media (Daily Mail Group) and life member of the National Union of Journalists, Alan has used his retirement to write and publish a work of fiction set around a corrupt publishing company.

Entitled The Greater Bad it is an eBook available on Amazon Kindle and published by Palamedes Publishing. Alan describes it as a scary, gothic thriller.

Previously Alan has helped produce the Triangle of Care, a guide for staff working in mental health to promote the inclusion of carers in patient care. He strongly believes that carers’ voices should be heard and said: “If you’ve known a person all their life you can see when something is wrong and I think that doctors and nurses need to listen to carers much more.”
