Emergency help

For current service users in Bexley:

As part of your care planning, your care coordinator (the main person who is currently helping you) should give you detailed information on how to get in touch with the mental health services when required.

If it is an emergency and you are unable to contact your care-coordinator, you can contact the Duty Assessment Nurse via the Bexley Crisis Line on 0845 608 0525.

At evenings (after 5pm) and at weekends you can also get emergency help by calling the on-call social worker on 020 8303 7777.

You can also call the National Schizophrenia Fellowship helpline for Bexley. The English speaking helpline (0808 808 3333) is available Monday to Friday, 6pm - 12am. The Asian speaking helpline (0808 800 2673) is available on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6pm - 9pm and Tuesday to Friday 12pm - 3pm.

Adult mental health services

During normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm) you can telephone the mental health duty officer (Erith 01322 356101 or Bexleyheath 020 8301 9444) for advice. If necessary, arrangements will be made for you to have an assessment.

Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)

If you wish to discuss a referral about your child, please telephone the Bexley CAMHS service on 020 3260 5200.

Older adults mental health services

If you are a current service user you can contact the Upton Centre, 14 Upton Road, Bexleyheath, DA6 8LQ on 020 8301 7911 for help and advice during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm).

Learning disability services

The Bexley Learning Disability Team (LDT) is a multi-agency team of health and social care services professionals which exists to enable adults with severe or moderate learning disabilities who live in or originate from Bexley to live fulfilling and valued lives within their local communities.

They are based at Park Crescent Centre, Park Crescent, Erith, DA8 3EE. During office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm) the contact telephone number is 01322 356154.
