A joint presentation was given by the heads of Bexley and Greenwich Community Health Services to Governors at a recent training day.
Governors were told about services for adults in the community including district nursing, community rehabilitation, physiotherapy and dentistry among many other services offering specialist advice and support. We heard about young people's services including ante and post natal groups and school based services for children with many different needs.
It was obvious that the addition of the community services is going to be of great interest to the governors. The next Away Day on February 23rd will give us a chance to join in discussions about the implications on the governing body, what changes need to take place and what opportunities will open up for the Trust.
