Social Inclusion meets First Step Trust - SMaRT Woolwich

On the 1st December 2011 Japleen Kaur (Social Inclusion Project manager) and I had the pleasure of visiting the new FST SMaRT Garage and training facility in Woolwich.  We can recommend that this is a place well worth touching base with particularly if you want your car care completed in a professional and competent manner.

The new facility provides a superb, modern location for service users to learn and develop their skills particularly if they have an interest in motor mechanics or business services. However, many other opportunities like working in their administrative or finance department also exist within this comprehensive service which forms part of a chain of FST facilities nationally. 

We had the chance to sit in one of the training sessions and interact with the users of the service who all spoke very highly of the opportunities offered to them with a key being the chance to reestablish personal confidence and build new skills. 

In addition to the above, access (for a small fee) to the extremely well appointed conference room for events comes highly recommended to all Oxleas Teams - you can even have your car serviced while there!

I arranged for my car to have an annual service at the FST Woolwich garage in November and was delighted with the service received. The reception staff were friendly, warm and knowledgeable and the mechanics/ trainees were very professional and competent. I was very pleased with the efficiency and attention to detail. My car was ready for collection at the specified time with the car cleaned (both outside and inside) as part of the service and on paying I received a discount of 15%. I highly recommend the FST garage and will return for my MOT and annual service next year as well.
