Welcome to the new governors

The Induction Day for new governors was held recently.  It started with a welcome from Dave Mellish and Stephen Firn , followed by Archie Herron talking about the Audit Committee and finance in the NHS. Ann Rozier gave the new governors some info on housekeeping and governance. My role was to talk about the various ways in which governors can actively get involved in the areas that particularly interest them. I had a list of the various committees to give them, with the aims and objectives of each group and meeting dates.  I told them about nominations, membership, social inclusion, psychological therapy, user ...
