Celebrating Black History

The work or achievements of black people is celebrated every October as Black History Month.

Recognition of the remarkable work or talents of black people gained impetus nationwide some years ago with the release of a list naming the 100 Great Black Britons.

This year Oxleas celebrated Black History Month on Wednesday 5 October 2011 at Memorial Hospital. There was a selection of international food and a line up of events and presentations.
