Pride 2019

News: Pride 2019

This year saw the largest Oxleas team ever supporting Pride in London.

To celebrate 50 years since the birth of the modern LGBT+ rights movement, Oxleas joined about 30,000 people for this year’s Pride in London parade, for the biggest and most diverse yet, with people from all parts of the LGBT+ community marching through the capital to celebrate, protest and stand up for equality. 600 groups - a 25 per cent increase on last year - walked the route from Portland Place down to Whitehall, via Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square.

Tobias Hill, Oxleas LGBT+ Network Chair and our Pride team organiser said: "We've all come together to celebrate 50 years of Pride, it's going to be an electric event, with representation from all over the NHS. This is our largest group ever, it's a very special day for Oxleas."

Matthew Trainer, Chief Executive at Oxleas NHS said: "It's so important to us that we are part of Pride in London to show our support for LGBT+ communities. Oxleas takes great 'pride' in being a supportive and welcoming employer to people from all walks of life and events like this help show our solidarity."
