Homeless and Asylum-Seekers Health Visiting Service Greenwich

Homeless families and asylum seekers with children 0-19 years can access the Health Visiting Service for assessment of health needs, short-term interventions and mainstream health services. The service is for:

  • families living in temporary accommodation with children 0-19 years
  • minors living on their own in temporary accommodation
  • new asylum seekers
  • asylum seeking families with children 0-19 years
  • unaccompanied minors
  • women and children living in refuge.

The service offers sensitive and evidence based health promotion activities along with information to increase public health protection, to minimise harm and promote healthy lifestyles.

How to access this service
The service accepts referrals from health and social care professionals, the housing needs unit, the Home Office and other appropriate agencies. Self referrals are also accepted.

Telephone advice, booked appointments and drop-in clinics are available.
