Re-Instate provides accessible, high quality, suitable in-house work experience, learning and development opportunities and progression for people with complex and enduring mental health needs.
The main focus of the work experience is the workshop in Erith, where real work is carried out for a number of local organisations. Work undertaken includes packing, hand-finishing, sorting mail shots, collating and making up “goody bags”.
Individuals who attend develop work and social skills, regaining lost confidence and self-esteem in a sheltered environment.
Using a supported employment model, vocational profiling matches each individual’s ambitions with training and development opportunities. This includes external work placements with local partners, with the ultimate aim of securing open employment.
Referrals are made from a variety of sources, including Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, GPs, Jobcentre Plus and self-referral, though the individual must have had contact with Oxleas services.
Re-Instate is oppn Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 4.30pm, and Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm.
